Novus Winery’s A Priori Mantinia 2024 earned a double distinction at the Great Greek Wines 2025, securing a place both on the 65 Great Greek Wines | The List 2025 and among the 30 Great Value Wines of this year’s edition.
The results were announced on May 22, 2025, at Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens, during the official Great Greek Wines awards ceremony.
Among the 65 Great Greek Wines of 2025
This year, 660 wines from 200 wineries in Greece and Cyprus were evaluated. Of these, 65 wines — approximately 10% of all entries — were selected for the Great Greek Wines | The List 2025.
Among them was A Priori Mantinia 2024, Novus Winery’s Moschofilero from Mantinia.
At the same time, A Priori was also included among the 30 Great Value Wines, a distinction highlighting wines that offer particularly good value for their quality and price.
Great Greek Wines, founded by Yiannis Karakasis MW, aims to showcase contemporary Greek wine and strengthen the international presence of Greek producers.
This double recognition marks an important milestone for Novus Winery and reaffirms our consistent commitment to showcasing Moschofilero and the viticultural character of Mantinia.
A Priori Mantinia 2024
A Priori comes from vineyards in Mantinia, at an altitude of approximately 650 metres, and is produced exclusively from Moschofilero.
Mantinia’s mountainous wine-growing zone, its distinctive microclimate and the character of the grape variety are reflected in the wine’s identity.
A Priori Mantinia 2024’s inclusion in both The List 2025 and the Great Value Wines 2025 represents another important recognition of our efforts to express, through our wines, the place, the grape variety and the contemporary winemaking identity of Mantinia.
